LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY
A memorable journey Down Under!!
“ Here are a few photographs from my trip in and around Sydney, Australia. The walks through the Royal National Park and Blue Mountains National Park brought me to some exquisite views of Victoria and National waterfalls, the Three Sister peaks, the Eagle rock and many famous landscape features”
Ladakh: A Landscape Photographer’s Paradise
If a landscape photographer were to ask for a place where one can see all possible variety of landscapes like raging rapids, deserts, snow capped peaks and mountains colors that are as varied as a painter’s palette, Ladakh is the perfect response!! The golden hue on mountain tops in the mornings and evenings surrounding the city of Leh, the desolate beauty of colored mountains in Mahe, the turquoise blue waters of Pangong and Tso Moriri Lakes or the meandering roads through some of the highest motorable passes of Khardungla, Zogila or Umlingla, one feels so timid and small in front of the grandeur !!
The Golden Dunes of Jaisalmer!!
“An early morning camel back journey across the golden sand dunes near Jaisalmer takes you to a mystical world of Light and Shade. Low angle of the golden hour sun creates such a beautiful interplay of light over the magical dunes. Be ready to drive at least an hour west of Jaisalmer to reach the outskirt villages where the dunes are pristine and endless!!”
The limitless natural beauty of Uttarakhand!!
“ One cannot be but spellbound by the natural beauty that Uttarakhand has to offer to Landscape, WildLife and bird photographers alike. Be it the grandeur of the lower Himalayas of Kanatal, Mussoorie and Dhanaulti, or thrill of seeing a tiger walking across the picturesque landscapes of Jim Corbett National park, or feeling the roar of river Ganges as it plummets down the valleys of Rishikesh, or the pious evening at Haridwar, Uttarakhand has it all !! ”
Kashmir - “The Heaven on Earth”
Looking at the beauty of Kashmir, Mughal emperor Jahangir once said “Gar firdaus, ruhe zamin ast, hamin asto, hamin asto, hamin ast” which roughly translates to “If there is ever a heaven on earth, it's here, it's here, it's here”. The stillness of the DAL Lake in early morning as the shikaras glide through the mist hanging over the lake, the roaring Jhelum river that runs through the valleys, the beautiful meadows of Pahalgam and Sonamarg of the still waters of Wulur lake with the fishermen casting their huge nets, each place in Kashmir leaves you spellbound with its beauty !!
